2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Chapel at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Howard Batson of The First Baptist Church of Amarillo.Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Wynema was born July 24, 1922 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Guy and Pearl Virden. She married James McBroom on June 10, 1939 in Amarillo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Amarillo. Wynema loved getting together with others for arts and crafts at her church. She also taught children"s Sunday school at Avondale Baptist Church. She was happy fishing, mostly in the rain, but most happy with her grandbabies. Loved those babies. She was a member of the Grand Lodge of the Ladies Auxiliary and Baptist Auxiliary at BSA Hospital. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Canyon Healthcare and Hospice Care of the Southwest. She was preceded in death by her husband, James McBroom, her parents, Guy & Pearl Virden, three brothers, William James Virden, Tom Virden and Earl Virden. She is survived by two daughters, Sue Nolan & husband, Bill of Canyon and Tommie Jo Hill & husband, Bill of Austin; a brother, Pat Virden & wife, Dorothy of Amarillo. Three grandchildren, Bill Nolan & wife Sandy, of Canyon, David Hill & wife, Kristen of Austin and Tracie Seed & husband, Jonas of Rhode Island; 8 great grandchildren, Ashley Nolan of Abilene,Whitney Nolan of Canyon, Luke Hill, Halle Hill, Zane Hill and J. D. Hill, of Austin, and Dakota Seed & Audrey Seed of Rhode Island.
