Winnie Wester

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Brooks Chapel with Dr. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. Winnie Wester was born on January 27, 1911 in Donley County, Texas to Bert and Julia Meador Ayers. She began as a dorm mother at West Texas State University from in 1958 and retired as Director of Housing in 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed bird watching and quilting. Survivors include her three sons, Ric Wester of Amarillo, Cliff Stogner of Lubbock, and Herald Stogner of Prescott, AZ; daughter, Jeanette Green of El Paso, TX; sister, Audrey Morris of Canyon; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
