Wilma Beth Dickson

Wilma Beth Dickson, 85, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Glen Spiller and Bunk Skelton officiating. Wilma was born on July 18, 1940 in Tulia, Texas to Leroy and Lola Mae (Reid) Shipman and attended Silverton High School. She enjoyed fishing, was an excellent seamstress, and had a love for helping others. She attended Northside Baptist Church in Plainview. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Judy Elaine Witherspoon, the father of her children, Millard Marlon Witherspoon, and her husband, J.W. West. Survivors include four children, Marla Diane Parrish, Buddy Witherspoon, Lisa Beth Smith, and Carey Witherspoon; numerous grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Elaine. The family suggests memorials be to Gentiva Hospice, 3232 Hobbs Rd., Ste. A, Amarillo, TX 79109.
