Willie Talbert

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rick Bloodworth officiating. Viewing will be in Happy's Memorial Chapel, Happy ,Texas. Willie Mae Talbert was born on December 8, 1923 to Luel and Lora Holman in Groom, Texas. She graduated from Canyon High School. She married Wayne Talbert on October 12, 1944 in Canyon, Texas. Willie loved her kids and grandkids. She was a good nanny, and also babysitter at the Methodist Church in Buena Vista, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her son, Wayne H. Talbert and wife, Sharen, of Guymon, OK; two daughters, Lora 'Sissy' Strickland and husband, Larry, of Happy, and Connie Lovell and husband, Don, of Sanger, formerly of Fritch; sister, Frances Bonds; a brother-in-law, Leslie Talbert, Jr. of Abilene; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174 or to a charity of your choice.
