Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with Rev. Billy D. Nickell, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, officiating. William R. "Bill" Glenn was born on March 2, 1941 in Canyon to Norman and Della Williams Glenn. He married Delores Wagner of Canyon on June 25, 1960. He helped with the family dairy in Canyon then moved to Wellington, Kansas where he worked for Sumner County until his retirement in 2006. Bill loved southern gospel music, and while in Wellington, he and Delores helped form the Sunflower State Gospel Music Association. He was known for his ability to fix things and his favorite quote was 'I can fix anything but the break of dawn and a broken heart.' Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Norma Burt, and his son, Robert Glenn. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Delores; two daughters, Carla Dodgen and husband, Mike, of Lindale, and Carol Wempen and husband, Sam, of Canyon; six grandchildren, Crystal, Terra, Drew, Kayla, Cassye, and Stormi; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Glandon, of Abilene, and a brother, Jim Glenn and wife, Carol, of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be made to First Assembly of God Church, 6101 Bell, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
