William B. Gibson, 72, formerly of Clinton, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 with his family by his side.
Private family services will be held.
William B. Gibson was born on April 4, 1950 in Lawrence, Kansas to James and Mary Wilson Gibson. He was educated locally in Whitesboro Central Schools and then a graduate of Hiriam College and Syracuse University.
William married Susan O'Brien on June 27, 1987 in Utica, New York. They had recently relocated to Canyon, Texas.
William worked in purchasing for various companies including GE and Lockheed Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Jane Tomaino O'Brien.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Gibson; daughter, Mariah Gibson; two sisters, Lisa Hammill and husband, Jeff Arendt (children, Kerry Gibian and Zack Johnson), and Linda Gibson and husband, Roy Shanker; brothers-in-law, John O'Brien (children, Brianna O'Brien, Jacqueline O'Brien, Alexandria O'Brien), and David O'Brien and wife, Susanna (children, Daniel and Matthew O'Brien), an aunt-in-law, Ann Wynne, who always kept him in cannoli; a special cousin, Phyllis Hindman and all her family, who welcomed us to Texas with open arms; and numerous extended family and friends.
A special thank you to Kindred Hospice for their kindness and special care of Bill.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Kindred Hospice, 3232 Hobbs Ave., Ste. A, Amarillo, TX, 79109.
