William Brooks

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at The Clairmont, 4707 Bell St. Amarillo, TX, with Virginia Evans, Chaplain at The Clairmont, officiating. Military honors from the United States Marine Corps William ""Bill"" Brooks was born on November 29, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to Simon P. and Helen Brooks. He served in the United States Marine Corps for four years and achieved the rank of Sargeant. Later he reenlisted for two years and became a Corporal. He also received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. After the military, he worked as a special computer programmer and after retirement he moved to Amarillo. He is survived by a sister, Barbara Miller, of Providence, Utah.
