Wanda Green

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 24 at Brooks Chapel with Ken Haney, Chaplain of Interim Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. Wanda was born on July 30, 1938 in Runnels County to Dalton and Gladys Pettit. She married Charles Green on August 14, 1954 in Canyon. She was a lifelong homemaker who adored taking care of babies and young children. She enjoyed painting and playing games. Wanda dearly loved spending the summer months at her cabin in the mountains, where she devoted countless hours to fishing at the lake. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Craig Green; and a sister and brother-in-law, Nelda and Golden Currie. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Charles; a daughter, Tammy Kear of Clayton, NM; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen Johnson and Kathy Williams. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
