He was involved with the Randall County Junior Livestock Association all his life. He was a loving and giving man, who enjoyed many camping trips in the mountains with friends and family when the kids were young. Walter was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edgar Cranmer; and a sister, Sharon McCarley. Survivors include the mother of his children, Janice Yarbrough Cranmer, of Canyon; four children, Stan Cranmer and wife, Heidi, of Amarillo, Jana Cranmer, Joni Rikel and husband, Randy, Ty Cranmer and wife, Robyn, all of Canyon; three sisters, Dorothy Masten, Peggy Ferguson, both of Canyon, and Leta Rolen, of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Linda Cranmer, of Canyon; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
