Waide Messer

Services will 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Canyon with Rev. Mark Bryant, officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Friday, February 23, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. A Memorial Service will also be held on March 3, 2007 at Ridgeway Baptist Church in Memphis Tennessee. Waide Messer of Memphis, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2007 in Wimberley, Texas. Waide was 50 years old and had just moved down to Wimberley to be the Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church there. His first day "on the job" was February 19th and he passed away in his sleep that night. Waide has pastored First Baptist Church Santa Anna, Texas, First Baptist Church Friona, Texas, Robert Lee Baptist Church Robert Lee, Texas and had been Associate Pastor at Cherry Road Baptist Memphis, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife Pamela Messer and sons Matthew and Timothy of Memphis, Tennessee; parents Buddy and Rose Messer of Canyon, Texas; three brothers, Jeff Messer of Amarillo, Texas, Doug Messer of Amarillo, Texas and Randy Messer of Oak Grove Missouri and one sister Janice Hughes of Canyon, Texas. Waide was also survived by a loving host of in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
