Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 8 at Happy's Memorial Chapel with Rick Bloodworth, minister of the Church of Christ, and Rev. Travis LaDuke, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Happy's Memorial Chapel. Vivian was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Eubanks on December 1, 1930 in El Paso. She attended school in Brownfield and Happy, graduating from Happy in 1948. Vivian married George Woods, her high school sweetheart, in 1948. They were married 67 years. While her children were at home, she taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church and served as the Happy 4-H Club Leader. She worked as a bookkeeper at Consumer's Supply in Happy for many years. Vivian was the Charter President of the Happy CowBelles, a national organization whose mission was to promote the Beef Industry in the mid-70's. She and George loved to travel. They traveled to most of the states in the Continental U.S. together. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mildred Carr and Billie Pearson. Survivors include her husband, George; two daughters, Sandy Woods, of Austin, Nancy Cruse and husband, Lee, of Happy; two grandchildren, Matthew Cruse and wife, Libby, of Flomot, Amanda Cruse, of Fort Worth; and three great grandchildren, Emma, Flint, and Quinn Cruse. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 6600 Kilgore, Suite 110, Amarillo, TX 79106.
