Viola Robins

December 31, 1969 — January 10, 2011

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Brooks Chapel, with Rev. Gene Jones, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Viola Louise Robins was born and raised in Canyon, Texas. She attended Canyon High School and West Texas State Teachers College (currently WTAMU), earning her Masters in Education. She taught school in Amarillo, Borger, Cactus, and Dumas ISD and finally opened the Gingerbread House Kindergarten in Canyon, Texas, where she lived until 2004. She was very active at the First Baptist Church in Canyon and also ran the church day care. She was preceded in death by her Father, Milton W Dooley, Mother, Ethel Mildred Crowley Dooley, Brother, C.M. Dooley, Sister in Law, Claire Dooley, and Husband, R.C. Robins. Survivors include a Daughter, Kathy L Sherrell of Oklahoma City, OK; Sons, Michael R Robins of Plano, TX and R Kevin Robins of Tempe, AZ; Grandchildren, Chris Poole, Derrick Poole, Jace Chandler, Shane Robins, Megan McKnight, and Robyn Sharp; Great Grandchildren, Ashton Poole, Joshua Poole, Serenity Poole, Sisters, Iris Brown of Niwot, CO, and Ava Wardell of Bellaire, TX. In addition, there are lots of other family members and friends that were loved and very dear to her heart!! Because she loved her animals, the family suggests memorials be sent to SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, Texas 79119.
