Vicky Sexton

Vicky Roberts Sexton, 76, of Canyon passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019.  Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Church of Christ in Happy with Dick Marcear, minister of Church of Christ at the Colonies, officiating.  Burial will follow in Happy Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Vicky was born on July 8, 1943 in Lamesa to Charles and Jewel Hinson Roberts.  She received her Bachelor of Business Education from WTSU, then became a legal secretary for many years.  She married Larry Sexton on September 10, 1965.Vicky was a member of the Church of Christ at the Colonies and a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, where she enjoyed showing horses.  She had her private pilot's license and was a certified court reporter.  Vicky enjoyed jeeping activities, repelling, clogging, and was an avid exerciser.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Solomon Wiley Roberts, a brother-in-law, Billy Felton, and one nephew. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Larry Sexton; three children, Melissa Mason, Melinda Frye and husband, Greg, and Michael Sexton; five grandchildren, Justin Frye, Berkley Thomas, and Marley, Micah, and Maggie Mason; two great granddaughters; seven sisters, Kathy Roberts Sheppard and husband, Joe, Rosa Roberts DeWolf and husband, Gilbert, Anna Roberts Minor and husband, Rick, Beth Roberts Felton, Charla Roberts Montclair and husband, Roy, Dolly Roberts Wright and husband, Norman, and Lisa Roberts Morris and husband, Corby; two brothers, Gabriel Ortiz Roberts and wife, Sara and Samuel Joseph Roberts and wife, Shauna; 23 nephews and 14 nieces. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Shriners Children's Hospital, in honor of Alec, PO Box 328, Amarillo, TX  79105.
