Vi Sanford

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 21, 2009, at Brooks Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Joseph Schley officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2009, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Vi Sanford was born on September 20, 1934, in Vega, Texas. She has been a resident of Canyon since 1942 and married Arthur Sanford at Clovis, NM, in 1951. They were members of the Sheriff's Posse for thirty years and she owned and operated The Old Time Shop in Canyon. She loved horses, the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, and china painting. Survivors include her husband, Arthur P. Sanford, of Canyon; two sons, Ricky P. Sanford, of Irving, and Steven M. Sanford, of Amarillo; and three grandchidlren, Ashley N. Sanford, of Irving, and Steven Cole Sanford and Autumn Parker Sanford, both of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
