Vera Mccarley

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the University Church of Christ in Canyon with David Lough, Minister, and Rev. Cameron Reeves, pastor of Hillside Christian Church Canyon Campus, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 27, 2012 at Brooks Chapel. Vera McCarley was born on April 9, 1928 in Quannah, Texas to Minnie and Clifford Smith. She married Herman "Mac" McCarley in Amarillo in 1946. She was a member of the University Church of Christ. She loved to paint, garden, and was a fabulous cook; but most of all, she loved her family more than anything. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Mac" McCarley. Survivors include her son, Danny McCarley and wife, Linda, of Pampa; daughters, Terry Rutar and husband, Roger, of Amarillo, and Bellinda Koch, of Amarillo; brother-in-law, Paul Miller, of Amarillo; grandchildren, Jennifer Reeves and husband, Cameron, Jason McCarley, Brittany Hollis and husband, Jeremy, and Ashley Mills; and five great grandchildren.
