Travis Michael Garrett

Travis Michael Garrett, 53, of Canyon, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Brooks Chapel with Bryan Flatt officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Brooks Chapel.

Travis was born on June 22, 1972 in Escondido, California to Gary Allen and Jennifer (Burge) Garrett. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1990 and attended Amarillo College before enrolling in the Police Academy. He served with the WT Police Department, followed by positions at the Randall County Sheriff's Office, Timber Creek Police, Hereford Police Department, and Amarillo Airport Police. After leaving law enforcement, he most recently worked for Hereford ISD.

Travis was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo. He loved the Lord and valued his faith and family above all. He enjoyed attending Brooklynne's softball games and Brytton's dance performances, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and followed the Boston Celtics (when they were winning).

Travis is preceded in death by two sons, Kaide and Kyler Garrett, his parents, and his grandparents, Shirley and Robert Burge and Henry and Mary Lee Garrett.

Survivors include his wife, Hylie Garrett; two daughters, Brooklynne and Brytton Garrett; sister, Tracy Pitts and husband, Todd; two nephews and one niece, Taylor, Tanner, and Taryn Pitts; and two great nephews and a great niece.
