Thomas Payne

Thomas Lewis Payne, passed away on November 1, 2017. Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 25 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Tom Stribling, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Happy, officiating. Tom, as he was always called, was born February 13, 1933 in Amarillo. He married Shirley Joyce Elliott on July 4, 1952 at his parents' house near Wayside, TX. Tom was preceded in death by son, John C. Payne and all siblings from a blended family. He is survived by wife, Shirley J. Payne; son, Timothy L. Payne; daughter, Sheila R. Payne; grandchildren, Christy, Ted, David, Bonnie, Clinton, Jesse; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews from the blended family including Joy Lane of Amarillo and Mikel and Craig Gusa of Biloxi, MS.
