Theresa Root

Theresa Root, 93, of Canyon, died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at First Christian Church of Canyon, with Rev. Debra Huffman, pastor of First Christian Church, Ken Cargle, former pastor of First Christian Church, and The Rev. Dr. Don McDonald, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Theresa Root was born near Wisner, Nebraska on May 9, 1908 and moved to Canyon in 1925 with her parents, John and Catharine Albers. She married Milton Eugene "Gene" Root in 1927. She was a member of the First Christian Church of CanyonSurvivors include her daughter, Ellen Richardson, and husband, Jim, of Amarillo; two sons, Norris Root, and wife, Ann, of Canyon, and Harold Root, and wife, Wanda, of Canyon; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchild
