Thelma Mcfarland

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 26, 2010 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Six, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Thelma Jo Pruett Foster McFarland was born on January 23, 1918 in Reed, Oklahoma to Walter L. And Myrtle Jonas Nabours. She owned and operated The Village Inn Restaurant in Canyon with her sons for 25 years. She was a wonderful artist, loved working in the yard, and loved her dog, Buffy. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was once active in the Kings Daughters Sunday School Class. She will be remembered for her sweet smile. She was preceded in death by one son, Jack Pruett, and two brothers, Laverne and Glen. She is survived by two sons, Richard Pruett and wife, Nedra and A.L. Pruett and wife, Pat, all of Canyon; one sister, Charlotte Stafford and husband, Lee, of California; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, Texas 79015.
