Tammy Keaton, 67, of Canyon, passed peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025.
Visitation will be held Friday the 18th, 2025 from 5:00 P.M.to 7:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel.
Let's celebrate Tammy the way she lived—full of love, laughter, and life. A joyful gathering will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in place of a service at "The Venue on the Square", 407 16th St, Canyon, Texas.
Tammy was born on May 29, 1958, in Amarillo, Texas, to Charles and Marie Vaughn. She graduated from Palo Duro High School and later earned her Radiology degree from Amarillo College. For over 40 years, Tammy dedicated her life to serving others as a Radiology Technologist, treating each patient with kindness, dignity, and heartfelt care. She had a way of making people feel safe, seen, and truly cared for—a gift that brought comfort to countless lives.
Tammy's love for the Lord, her family, and friends, were her guiding light. She especially adored her grandchildren and found her greatest joy in simply being with the people she loved. Whether she was in the mountains, at the lake, or just sitting and visiting, Tammy never rushed a moment. She gave her time freely and fully, always making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She had a way of turning everyday moments into cherished memories.
Tammy will be remembered not just for the life she lived, but for the love she gave—steady, sincere, and abundant. Her legacy is one of quiet strength, deep compassion, and an unwavering ability to make others feel seen and valued.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marie Vaughn and Charles Vaughn; her beloved brother, Quincy Vaughn; and her dear cousin, Teresa McChesney.
She is survived by her sons, Braden Keaton and wife, Alessa; and Blair Keaton and wife, Lindsey; her treasured grandchildren, Kelby, Quinn, Claire, McKoy, and Kyler; her niece, Stacy Ellis and husband, T.J. and their daughters, Sophie and Macie; her niece, Brandy Vaughn; her nephew, Cheston Vaughn and wife, April, and their children, Harlan and Rawley; along with numerous other family members and friends who loved her dearly. Her family finds peace in knowing that her faith has now become sight.
