Tamera 'Tammy' Estrada

Tamera 'Tammy' Nell Taylor-Estrada, 60, of Edinburg, passed away on October 28, 2024. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. A private burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery.

Tammy was born on June 25, 1964 in Lubbock to Marvin Hays and Freda Ann (O'Neill) Taylor. She graduated from Lubbock Coronado High School in 1982 and received her Bachelor of Education from Texas Tech University.

Tammy married Eduardo Estrada in Lubbock on May 16, 1998, and they moved to Edinburg in 2005. She taught Special Education for several years and most recently enjoyed working at Target. She loved quilting, reading, and spending time with her family.

Tammy is preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.

Survivors include her husband, Eduardo Estrada of Edinburg; two stepchildren, Paul Estrada of Hurst and Ariel Estrada of Levelland; her mother, Freda Taylor of Canyon; brother, Talton Taylor and wife, Kim of Canyon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church Quilting Ministry, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015.
