Sue White

Sue White, 78, of Canyon, formerly of Amarillo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and quiet strength that touched all who knew her. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Brooks Chapel in Canyon, with David Bagwell, officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery. Born on November 23, 1946, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Bob and Jo (Leonard) Ridlehuber, Sue was a proud 1965 graduate of Lubbock Monterey High School. After high school, she built a fulfilling life in the Texas Panhandle, living and working in Amarillo for many years before moving to Canyon in 2016. Her professional journey included dedicated service at Northwest Texas Hospital as a unit clerk and owner of Amarillo Transcription Services from which she retired in 2005 allowing her to embrace the joys of a well-earned leisure. Sue embodied a life of joyful simplicity, infused with remarkable talent and boundless creativity. An avid seamstress and crafter she delighted in crafting unique treasures and gifts for others. Her kitchen was her sanctuary, where she whipped up exceptional meals that brought family and friends together, each dish a testament to her nurturing spirit. Sue was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her sons, Kelley White and wife, Lacie of Canyon and Joey White of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Brooke White, Keenan White, Christian McGuire, Faith McGuire, Jentry White, and Jake White; and three great grandchildren, Rheadyn Robles McWhorter, Rylee Robles, and Reisa Robles. She is also survived by her ex-husband and dear friend Ken White. Because of their wonderful service to Sue, the family would like to suggest memorials go to Jan Werner Adult Day Care, 3108 S. Fillmore, Amarillo, TX 79110. Sue's gentle presence will be deeply missed, and her loving kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. Sue's family invites all who cherished her to join in celebrating her extraordinary life at the services.
