Sue Brown

Memorial services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Brooks Chapel with George Hammontree officiating. Private interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Sue Brown was born on May 27, 1921 in Hereford to Claude and Anna Cox Terry. She has been in Canyon since 1936 and married D. A. 'Dusty' Brown in Post, Texas on February 5, 1941. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1996. Sue worked as an administrative secretary for the West Texas State University College of Business for twenty-six years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon and the National Secretaries Association. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Weathersbee and Ahlene Lane. Survivors include her son, Randy Russell Brown and wife, Lynn, of Canyon; her daughter, Beverly Sue Bryant and husband, John David, of Hereford; four grandchildren, Paige Ann Brown Richardson and husband, Tim, of Austin, Dusty Brooke Bryant, of Keller, David Brack Bryant and wife, Kate, of Dallas, and Derek Brynne Daniel and husband, Brady, of Keller; and six great grandchildren, Gavin David Bryant, Anna Jane Bryant, Lillian Grace Bryant, Berkley Ella Daniel, Bryant Matthew Daniel, and Deklan Timothy Richardson. The family suggests memorials be to the First Baptist Church, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, Texas 79015, or the Salvation Army, PO Box 2490, Amarillo, Texas 79105.
