Stacie Joyce McCraw, 47, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Freedom Fellowship Church in Canyon with Darren Dye, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.
Stacie was born on January 30, 1977 in Amarillo to Neil and Linda Purcell. She was a 1995 graduate of Randall High School and received her Master of Arts in Educational Technology from WTAMU in 2012. Stacie married Jason McCraw in Las Vegas, NV on December 16, 2002.
While her children were in school, Stacie stayed extremely active in everything they were involved in, from serving on the PTA and being class Mom, to working extensively with the West Plains Band Boosters for many years. She was immensely creative and enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts of all kinds, going thrifting, and loved her many DIY projects. She was also a talented photographer, loved babies, and had a great passion for special needs children. Stacie was a longtime member of Freedom Fellowship Church where she worked tirelessly in many aspects of the church. She was also a member of Awanas, assisting children and youth in discipleship.
Stacie is preceded in death by three sons, Addison, Ayddien, and Atticus McCraw and several grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Jason McCraw of the home; five children, Angellica Parish and husband, Brandon of Amarillo, Annsleigh McCraw of Canyon, Averilynn McCraw of Amarillo, Austtin McCraw of Amarillo, and Annastaca McCraw of Amarillo; parents, Neil and Linda Purcell of Amarillo, Judith and Steve Walton of Pearland, TX, and Debbie Collums of Skellytown, TX; siblings, Sarah Purcell and spouse, Sandra of Amarillo and Stephen Purcell and wife, Andrea of Katy, TX; grandmother, Lorene Purcell of Amarillo; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Stacie also leaves a host of friends that she loved.
The family requests memorials be to Freedom House of Canyon, 45 Hunsley Road, Canyon, TX 79015.
