Shirley Jeanne Lehnick

Shirley Jeanne Keahey Lehnick, 94, of Canyon, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Brooks Chapel with Gene Jones officiating. Private interment will be in Dreamland Cemetery.

Shirley was born on July 15, 1930 in Canadian, Texas to Elmer and Ruth (Fletcher) Keahey. After graduating from Canadian High School in 1947, she moved to Canyon to attend West Texas State Teachers College. She met Curtis Lehnick and they were married on August 8, 1948 in Canadian.

Shirley was a longtime, dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Canyon. She was a wonderful homemaker and was devoted to her husband, her two sons, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved. She also enjoyed painting, traveling, and fishing.

Shirely is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Jerry, and her sister, Nancy.

Survivors include her son, Greg Lehnick and wife, Kathy; grandsons, Michael and Dusten Lehnick; granddaughter, Summar Gallier; and six great grandchildren.
