Sharon Mccarley

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 21, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Happy with Tom Stribling, pastor, and Rick Bloodworth, minister of the Church of Christ of Happy, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. Sharon McCarley was born on October 31, 1944 in Conway, Texas to E. L. and Elizabeth Nepper Cranmer. She married Jerry K. McCarley in Canyon on June 13, 1963. He preceded her in death in 1997. Sharon worked for over twenty years at Happy ISD as secretary for the Superintendent and as cheerleader sponsor. She loved to sew for her children and loved to travel. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Sharon was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edgar Cranmer, in 2005. Survivors include a son, Bill McCarley, of Happy; a daughter, Shann Ford and husband, Ricky, of Canyon; siblings, Dorothy Masten, of Canyon, Walter Cranmer and wife, Janice, of Canyon, Peggy Ferguson and husband, Jerry, of Canyon, and Leta Rolen and husband, Larry, of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Linda Cranmer, of Canyon; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, Texas 79109.
