Sam Elver

Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Sam Lee Elver was born on May 17, 1939 at Spearman, Texas. He married Lois Fletcher in Amarillo in 1963, and she preceded him in death in 2005. He was retired from the Randall County Road Department. He lived on Elver Road, named after him, for over forty years, and loved visiting with neighbors and friends. He loved driving big equipment machines and enjoyed keeping roads cleared and graded for his neighbors. He was also preceded in death by his parents. SURSurvivors include his friends and neighbors, three stepchildren, and a sister, Alice, of Oklahoma. The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley?s Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
