Sallie Hudson

Sallie Hudson, 76, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Graveside services will be at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Pastor David Gadberry, pastor of Your Summit Church, officiating.

Sallie was born on September 12, 1944 in Childress, Texas to Louie and Cleo Moore Spraggins. She graduated from Canyon High School in 1963. Sallie married Jerry Hudson on September 1, 1977 in Amarillo and they started Modern Cleaners in Canyon in 1978. She and Jerry worked closely together at the cleaners for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Your Summit Church and her love for Jesus was obvious to all who knew her. She enjoyed reading and gardening in her spare time.

Sallie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale and Troy Spraggins. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Jerry Hudson of Canyon; three children, Paul Hudson, Julie Simmons, and Cody Hudson, all of Canyon; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, with two more due soon.
