Ryddeck Daniel Wheeler

Ryddeck Daniel Wheeler, 16, of Canyon, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the First Methodist Church of Canyon with Rev. Matt Wolfington officiating.

Ryddeck was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Though his time on earth was far too short, he left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Ryddeck loved fishing, playing video games, listening to music, and playing baseball and basketball. Whether he was casting a line, spending time with family and friends, or simply enjoying the things he loved, he found joy in life’s simple moments.

Those who knew Ryddeck will remember his contagious smile, his quick sense of humor, and the happiness he brought wherever he went. He had an awkward charm that somehow made him even funnier and more endearing. His quirky personality, genuine heart, and ability to make others laugh made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. He had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable simply by being himself.

While our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the loving presence of his Savior. Although his time with us was far too brief, the love Ryddeck shared and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Ryddeck is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Augusta Owens and Nick McCormick; his father and stepmother, Jacob and Brittany Wheeler; his brothers, Warrick Wheeler and Wylie McCormick; his sisters, Vivieka Wheeler, Reese Wheeler, and Raigen McCormick; his grandparents, Steve and Sally Lewis of Canyon, and Terry Wheeler of Amarillo; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and countless friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
