Ruth Boston

Services will be Saturday, December 11 at 10:00 A.M. at Brooks Chapel with Dale De Raad and Dan Wisecup officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 10, 2010 at Brooks Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery. Ruth was born March 27, 1919 in Rome, Texas to Charles and Bertha Bryan. She attended school at Fairview, Texas. February 3, 1947 she married her soul mate, Ben Boston. They moved to a farm east of Happy. They had four children, Carolyn, Joyce, Edwin and Sherylene. She was known to her family as Nana. She was a loving mother and grandmother and special aunt to all. She loved to quilt and tend her garden and put puzzles together with her daughters and friends who would stop by to visit. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, two sisters, Jennie and Pearl Bryan of Happy; five brothers, Bob, Homer and Sam of Happy, Wayne of Decatur and Ralph of Gladstone, New Mexico. A special thanks to the Wayside Emergency Team, the staff at the Cottages and BSA Hospice. Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Wade and husband Sam, and Sherylene Morris of Amarillo,and Joyce Boston of Jamestown, Colorado; and a son, Edwin Boston of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Sabre McLean and husband John, Chris Morris and wife Renee, all of Amarillo; Bambi Barrett and husband Chris of Fort Worth; David Wade and wife Sharon, of Midland, and Brad Wade and wife Alicia, of Wichita Falls; ten great grandchildren, Taylor and Hayden McLean, Mia and Ryder Barrett, Maranda, Becca and Maggie Wade, and Christian, Carter and Caylee Morris. She has seven nieces, Wanda Devoll of Amarillo, Edna Bassett of Happy, Billie Bible of Wayside, Naoma McKee of Hereford, Helen Bearden of Plainview and Faye Thurman and Sue Fennel of Decatur; eight nephews, Eddie Bryan and Roy Bryan of Happy, Harold of Arkansas, Dan Bryan of Clayton, New Mexico, Webb, Bud, Doug and Kenny Bryan of Decatur.
