Gravside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Randy Srader, pastor of God of Wonders Fellowship, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. Roy ""Harold"" Goad was born on November 27, 1941 to Lester Wayne Goad, Sr. And Tura Mae Campbell Goad in New Home, Texas. He married JoAnn Brock on November 25, 1960 and shared a home with her for over 48 years, until she preceded him in death. He also had two babies that left this world before him, his parents, a brother, and a granddaughter. He worked as an HVAC mechanic for many years before retiring from ATEX of Amarillo. He was known for helping others with just about any and everything. He was a member of Lamount Baptist Church of Amarillo and enjoyed attending gospel concerts, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include two daughters, Tonya Bravo and husband, Victor, of Canyon, and LaDonna Herring and husband, Gary, of Amarillo; grandchildren, Josh, Cassi K., Eric, Cassie, Mikey, Heather, Dakota, and Dusty; 5 great-grandchildren, Mason, Brianna, McKinzie, Averie, and Kiley; three brothers, Lester Goad, Jr., of Lubbock, Floyd Dwayne Goad, of Buchanan Dam, and Kenneth Goad and wife, Sandra, of Marble Falls; and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to Odyssey Hospice, 6900 I-40 W Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
