Rosendo Aragon

December 31, 1969 — May 8, 2004

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 St. Ann"s Catholic Church with Rev. Phu Phan, pastor, officiating. Prayer Service will be at 7:00 P.M. Monday, May 10, 2004 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mr. Aragon was born on November 26, 1924 in Abernathy, Texas to Daniel and Ignacia Marquez Aragon. He graduated from Friona High School. After high school, he joined the United States Army and was a medic during WWII. After the war he joined the U. S. Airforce and served in Korea. He retired as Tech Sgt. USAF. He married Tibbie Garcia in Hale Center in 1949, and they moved to Canyon in 1966. She preceded him in death in 2001. He was a member of St. Ann"s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Fred Aragon, Paul Aragon, Alfonso Aragon, and Procopio Aragon, and five sisters, Leonarda Alderete, Juanita Martinez, Alice Garcia, Julia Aragon, and Ophelia Aragon. Survivors include one son, John C. Aragon, of Canyon; one daughter, Patsy Gomez, of Canyon; one brother, Pete Aragon, of Canyon; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
