Rosemarie Hoffman, 70, of Canyon, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Canyon with Father Scott Raef as celebrant.
Rosemarie was born on December 6, 1950 in Minneota, Minnesota to Anthony and Marie (Wirtz) DeCock. She graduated from Fontbonne Hall Academy in Brooklyn, NY and received her B.A. and Master's Degree in Education from Boston College. She received her second Master's Degree from West Texas State University. She married Kirby Hoffman on June 16, 1990. Rosemarie taught from elementary to high school for many years in Amarillo at Alamo Catholic School, St. Joseph Catholic School, Bowie Jr. High School, and Tascosa High School. She loved teaching and truly lived a life of service.
Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William, and one sister-in-law, Kathy DeCock. Survivors include her husband, Kirby Hoffman; her sister, Mary Roggenkamp and husband, Don; five brothers, David DeCock and wife, Nancy, Bob DeCock and wife, Stephanie, Douglas DeCock and wife, Collette, Henry DeCock and wife, Judy, and Wayne DeCock and wife, Janelle; and an aunt, Jeanette.
The family suggest memorials be to High Plains Food Bank, 815 Ross St., Amarillo, TX 79102.
