Robert Dean Tucek, 77, of Canyon, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Canyon with Pastor Brian Shane officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.
Robert was born on July 13, 1947 in Randall County to Raymond and Irene (Leseberg) Tucek. He graduated from Canyon High School and attended WTSU. He married Martha Manley on July 15, 1967 at St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was a member.
Robert worked for Richardson Farm Supply and Boyd's Equipment for many years, delivering propane in Canyon and Amarillo and also managed a hog farm. He loved reading, fishing, gardening, and especially enjoyed rabbit shows. Family was extremely important to Robert and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, was his greatest blessing. Christmases at home was always a favorite for him. His family will affectionately remember him for his loving and ornery ways and will always hold to his motto, 'Get back up after life pushes you down.'
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Norman and Weldon Tucek, two sisters, Linda Adams and Diane Turner, brother-in-law, Phil Stevens, granddaughter, Nellarose, and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Martha Tucek; three sons, Travis Tucek and wife, Lisa, Ty Tucek, and Timothy Tucek and wife, Jessica; 14 grandchildren, Tymon, Jordan and wife, Michelle, Morgan and husband, Dalton, Emma, Shalla and husband, Edward, Skyler and wife, Kimberly, Jenna, Hayden, Mayson, and Zayden; 5 great grandchildren, Dean, Cecelia, Abigail, Gracie, and Libby, with one on the way; four brothers, Glenn, Melvin, David, and Clinton Tucek; three sisters, Loretta Cox, Pam Stevens, and Rhonda Stevens; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
The family suggests memorials be to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2600 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015.
