Robert Stephens

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Brooks Chapel with Melvin Beeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 6, at Brooks Chapel. Robert Stephens was born on August 22, 1940 in Endicott, New York to Victor and June Williams Stephens, Sr. He married Iola Beeman in Flemingville, NY on November 14, 1964. They moved to Canyon in 1977. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Iola Stephens, of the home; three daughters, Kelly Stephens and Diane Stephens, of Canyon, and Amy Hudspeth and husband, Kyle, of Amarillo; one son, Robert Leland Stephens, Jr. and wife, Christina, of Panhandle; five brothers, Bill, David, Charles, Wesley, and Victor Stephens, all of Maine, NY; one sister, Mary Walter, of Maine, NY; and nine grandchildren, Colby and Tyler Hudspeth, Justin Stephens, Madyson Straubing, Nick, Morgan, Kristin, and Zachary Stephens, and Stephanie Herin. The family requests memorials to the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, 6010 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
