Robert Gilmore

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 8 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with Ricky Pfeil, pastor emeritus at Accelerate Church of Amarillo, officiating. Robert Dale Gilmore was born on May 11, 1954 in Littlefield. He lived in Earth and moved to Silverton at age 7. He worked on the Wagner Ranch for several years and was a fantastic silversmith. Robert was a correctional officer for TDCJ at Clements Unit in Amarillo, retiring after twenty years. He loved horses and dancing. Survivors include his wife, Amelia; a son, Colter Gilmore, of Honey Grove; a daughter, Desiree; a stepdaughter, Nena Good and step-son, J.R. Saavedra, both of Illinois; one sister, Lynn Blackwell, of Canyon; one brother, Lance Stidham, of Odessa; five grandchildren; and his friend, David Lawrence, of Amarillo.
