Ricky Dale Leavitt

Ricky Dale Leavitt passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 51. Ricky was born May 13, 1974 in Canyon, Texas to Loyd and Omega Leavitt. Raised on the family farm, Ricky was an instant fan of tractors and machinery. He took up repairing things later in life. Teaching himself from the internet, he could fix just about anything. Ricky enjoyed driving. Whether it was a tractor for work or the boat for fun, he loved it. His favorite pastime, however, was riding his motorcycle. He found freedom out on the open road, wind whipping his hair, motor drowning out the world. It was his happy place. Known for his sense of humor, Ricky was also quite a jokester giving all who knew him a good laugh. He was compassionate, forgiving, and always willing to help others, especially his parents. He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Leavitt and nephew Randall Leavitt, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Clara Omega Leavitt, brother, Randy (Lynn) Leavitt, sister, Darla Leavitt, nieces Emily Leavitt, Hannah Leavitt, Sadie (David) Rodriguez, Taylor (Zane) Chiantaretto, and Harley Davis, nephew Waylon Leavitt, 5 great nieces/nephews and numerous friends. Ricky's loss is felt by many. Please join the Leavitt family on Saturday, August 30th at 2:00pm for graveside services at the Happy Cemetery in Happy Texas.
