Richard Johnson

Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Brooks Chapel with Pastor Dale Westbrook of New Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Richard Dale Johnson was born on May 22, 1943 in Elizabeth, West Virginia to Howard and Eva Schofield Johnson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He loved camping and fishing in the mountains of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Margarette Jones and Hermina Rush, and two brothers, James Johnson and Eugene Wharton. Survivors include two sisters, Phyllis Zimmerman, of Lakeland, FL, and Nancy Jaynes, of Amarillo; and two brothers, Harvey Johnson, of South Carolina, and William Wharton, of Kentucky. The family suggests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 50433, Amarillo, Texas 79159.
