Rhe Northcutt

Memorial services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at The Arbors Chapel with Barry Loving, officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 25, 2011 at Dreamland Cemetery. Rhe Northcutt was born August 31, 1937 in Floyd County, Texas to Fred Clark and Lula Tinnin Cates. She graduated from Lockney High School 1955, and then attended Abilene Christian College and West Texas State College. In 1957, Rhe married Don Ray Veigel. He preceded her in death in 1959. She completed her degree in education at West Texas State College. On January 1, 1965, she married Johny M. Northcutt in Clovis, New Mexico. Rhe was a member of the First Christian Church of Amarillo. She was active in a quilting guild and enjoyed sewing, tailoring, quilting, painting, and all sorts of craft projects. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Johny M. Northcutt; daughter, Jo Ann Eudy and husband, John, of Canyon; grandchildren, Alisha Platts and husband, Noel, of Amarillo, Craig Carnahan, of Canyon, Brennan Eudy, of Amarillo; great grandson, Dylan Ray Platts, of Amarillo; brother, Benny Cates, of Palestine; and eight nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to the L.I.F.E. Fund at the First Christian Church of Amarillo, 3001 Wolflin, Amarillo, TX 79109.
