Recil Johnson

Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the University Church of Christ with David Lough, and Bob Shepard officiating. He will be buried in Dreamland Cemetery. Recil Johnson was born on June 7, 1916 in Grandfield, OK. He married Florine Sandefur in 1938. He was a resident of Canyon for 52 years. During World War II he worked at Lockheed, and later ran Buffalo Lake until 1962. He was the former owner of Chaparral Villa mobile park, and retired from the Randall County Sheriff"s Department in 1980. Recil was a member of the University Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Florine Johnson, of Canyon; two daughters, Brenda Craven, of Tulsa, OK, and Karel Watkins, of Melbourne, FL; two grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
