Ray Allen Paul, 61, of Lamesa, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Lamesa Country Club, 2006 Dallas Ave., Lamesa, Texas 79331.

Ray was born on January 8, 1963 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Canada to Lawrence and Fay (Wells) Paul. In his younger years while living in Canada, he enjoyed playing hockey. After moving to the states, he was extremely active in high school rodeo and carried his love of rodeo into his work as a cowboy. He loved working in feed yards, ranching, and all aspects of working cattle. His passion was team roping, a skill he exhibited in many ranch rodeos. He was a member of Seymour Rodeo Association while living there, and more recently, was a member of Lamesa Rodeo Association.

Ray married Theresa Deneen Tucek on June 1, 1984 and they were married for 38 years before she preceded him in death on September 29, 2023. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three children, Tysha Jeneen Miller and husband, Russell, Tyrell Justin Paul, and Tray Ryan Paul and fiancé, Lacey Norris; four grandchildren, Teagan, Tayte, and Tinslee Miller and Lakyn Paul; sisters, Mardel Provence and husband, Jeff, and Dallas Cherry; several nieces and nephews; and his father- and mother-in-law, Glenn and Waltine Tucek.

The family suggests memorials be to High Cotton Relief Fund @highcottonrelieffund.
