Rachel Chapman, 80, of Louisiana, passed away on May 2, 2021.
Rachel was born on May 27, 1940 to Abel and Juanita Marez in Gallup, NM. She was a preschool teacher for many years. She was a member of Christ Family Fellowship in Canyon, TX.
She was a talented seamstress and loved to sew. She was also an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for all of her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ramona Mier; brothers, Orlando, Billy, and Lawrence Marez; and sister, Wilma Rivera.
Survivors include daughters, Wanda Demel (Bobby), and Kathy Sampey (Emmett); son, Chuck Haney; grandchildren, Mark, Jason, Emmett, Jennifer, Jeremy, Nicholas, Chelsea, and Corey; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Marez (Norma); sisters, Lorraine Poole (Lance) and Erlinda Baca (Bobby); and several nieces and nephews.
