Peggy Morehead

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Llano Cemetery with Pastor Blake Moore, Hillside Christian Church, officiating. Peggy Jean Morehead was born on February 11, 1939 in Amarillo. She was married to Leon Morehead and they loved managing Lake Marvin in Canadian for several years. She was a homemaker and will be fondly remembered for her love of her family and her great cooking. Peggy also enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, gambling, and watching classic old movies. She loved Texas Longhorn football, animals, and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Morehead. Survivors include two sons, David Morehead, of Amarillo, and Bill Morehead, of Canadian; three daughters, Linda Dendy, of Yukon, OK, Kathy Minick, of Elk City, OK, and Teresa Walker, of Canyon; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
