Patsy Dean (Holland) Musser of Floydada, TX passed away on June 25, 2024 from complications associated with dementia. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 28 at Brooks Chapel, Canyon, TX. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29 at Brooks Chapel.
Patsy and her twin sister, Nancy, were born May 24, 1935 in Sherman, Texas to Robert and Nita Holland. Patsy loved basketball, having played for Whitesboro and Lockney High School, where she and her sister served as co-captains their senior year. Patsy married Edgar Raymond Musser on December 27, 1955. They remained happily married for nearly 62 years until Edgar's death in 2017. Throughout her life, Patsy was an active member of local churches, participating in a variety of ministries. Patsy had a generous heart, serving in many ways including as a Cub Scout Den Mother, an AWANA leader for 40 years, a Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor, a member of the Canyon FBC Quilting Ministry, a TBM Camp Builder, a Sunday School teacher, VBS worker, and a mentor of young ladies.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed, her brother Robert, and her twin sister Nancy. Patsy is survived by her children: Bob (Donna) of Conway, AR; Tom of Lubbock, TX; Bill of Prescott, AZ; Jim (Kristen) of Rolla, MO and Joe (Sarah) of Nacogdoches, TX; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Quilting Ministry of First Baptist Church, Canyon or the Operation Christmas Child (shoebox) ministry of First Baptist Church, Floydada.
