Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Damon Deaton, pastor of Faith Community Church, and Dr. David Lowrie, Jr., pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 27, 2008 at Brooks Chapel. Interment will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Ora Gaston was born on April 29, 1919 in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi to Ervin Wesley and Lida Burk Yarbrough. She married Otis Gaston on October 16, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1986. She loved to journal, loved flowers and gardening, and enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. She also took art lessons at West Texas State University. She attended Faith Community Chapel. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include four sisters, Corrine Blankenship, of Canyon, Helen Bradsher, of Canyon, Ruby Criddle, of Amarillo, Billie Aven, of Drew, MS; a brother, James Yarbrough, of Canyon; two sisters-in-law, Millie Smith, of Sumner, MS; Halaree Herring, of Jackson, MS; andNumerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
