Opal Davis

Opal Irene Davis, 66, of Canyon, died Monday, September 9, 2002. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Gordon Cox, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Opal Irene Davis was born on November 20, 1935 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Luther and Claris Clark Thompson. She graduated from Higgins High School in 1954 and married Scott Davis at Higgins in 1954 also. They lived in Canyon while he attended school and then moved to Amarillo. They later moved to Houston and then back to Canyon in 1979. She worked in the insurance business from 1956 to 1979. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband, of the home; and one son, Brian Davis, of Plainview. The family suggests memorials be to the Ronald McDonald House, 1501 Strait Dr., Amarillo, Texas 79106, or to your favorite charity.
