Opal Caffey

December 31, 1969 — June 24, 2005

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday June 27, 2005 at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held at 2 :30 P.M. at Second Baptist Church in Levelland, Texas, with the Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor, officiating, on June 27, 2005. The burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, in Amarillo, Texas. Opal Caffey was born on August 29, 1914 to Oscar and Nora Thompson in Meridian, Texas. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Levelland and Hockley County Senior Citizens, where she enjoyed a weekly Bible study. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Curtis O. Caffey, two sons Curtis Wayne Caffey and Ronnie Dean Caffey, and two grandchildren. She will best be remembered as a faithful servant of her Lord and for her great love of her family and friends. The survivors of the family are two daughters; Janie McCoy, of Lubbock, and Carolyn Legan, of Levelland. She also had nine Grandchildren, and eight Great-Grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to Second Baptist Church of Levelland and Hockley County Senior Citizen.
