Naoma Brewer

Naoma Rae (Howeth) Brewer, 78, of Bushland, died Monday, June 30, 2003 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2003 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Brewer was born on July 28, 1924 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Roy and Sally Howeth. She married Jess Brewer. She was a resident of Amarillo, Canyon, and Bushland for the past forty-five years. She was a mother, wife, grandmother, and a collector of dolls and coins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Damon, and five sisters, Dorothy, Rosie, Quee, Edith, and Via. Survivors include her husband, Jess Brewer, of Bushland; one daughter, Vynona Gale Goode, and husband, Roy, of Bushland; four sons, Tom Brewer, of Amarillo, Wayne Brewer, of Bushland, Don Brewer, of Hereford, and Hershel Brewer, and wife, Patricia, of Santa Barbara, CA; one brother, Harace Howeth, of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Melanie Brewer, of Amarillo, Tim Brewer, of Abilene, and Charles and Thadeus Brewer, of Santa Barbara, CA; and two great grandchildren, Mitchell and Meagan Brewer, of Abilene. The family suggests memorials be to the Boy Scouts of America 401 Tascosa Rd. Amarillo, TX 79124; the American Cancer Society 3915 Bell St. Amarillo, TX 79109; or the American Heart Association 6605 IH 40 West Amarillo, TX 79106.
