Muriel Fincher

Muriel Fincher, 83, of Tulia, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2003 at Grace Baptist Church in Canyon with Rev. Gordon Cox, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulia, Texas. Mrs. Fincher was born on February 19, 1920 in Whitesboro, Texas to William and Amber Brown Sanders. She grew up in Marietta, Oklahoma and attended Greenville School. She married B.N. Fincher in Marietta in 1940. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, two sons, James William Fincher, in 1944, and Dale Fincher, in 1989, two grandsons, Todd Fincher, and Jeff Fincher, in 1996, two brothers, Clinton Sanders and A.T. Sanders, and one sister, Jean Hedrick. Survivors include two sons, Ken Fincher, of Canyon, and Jack Fincher, of Amarillo; four brothers, Eddie Sanders and Eldon Sanders, both of Levelland, John Sanders, of Marlo, OK, James Sanders, of Tulia; three sisters, Billie Barfield, of Amarillo, Pauline Hoyler, of Dimmitt, and Jessie Orr, of Tulia; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association, 6605 IH 40 West, Amarillo, TX 79106.
