Mona G. Mattingly, 76, of Canyon, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Brooks Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Mona was born on May 9, 1947 in New Albany, Mississippi to Carl Mack and Flossie (Whitehead) Hall. She married Paul Mattingly on August 24, 1967 in Aurora, IL and she worked for Richardson Electronics for 38 years as a factory worker in St. Charles IL. They moved to Canyon in 2015.
Mona loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed vacation trips to Illinois, Missouri, and Mississippi to spend time with family.
Mona is preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Mattingly, her son, Phil V. Mattingly, brothers, John, Carl, James, Floyd, and Dick Hall, and sisters, Betty Jean Hall and Norma Cobb.
Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Easley and husband, Gregg; two grandchildren, Danny R. Helton, Jr. and Valerie May Helton and husband, Scott Brandt, Sr.; three great grandchildren, Scott (Bubba) Brandt, Jr., Aubrey Ann Brandt, and Daniel R. Brandt; sister, Ada Sue Bachman; and brother, Rufas Lavell Hall.
